Fire Protection Edge Protections EPDM acc. to DIN EN 45545-2
Advantages
These edge protections consist in the clamping area of solid EPDM with a wire carrier.
Edge protections are used when steel edges have to be smooth or covered.
Additional metal machining work can be avoided and an decorative effect is achieved.
The U-shaped steel clip-on tape with an EPDM jacketing provides for firm seating on metal edges, even if there are radii or bends.
The materials used in the EPDM profiles are tested according to DIN EN 45545-2 (R22/R23 HL2 or HL3).

The materials used are certified in accordance with the currently valid fire protection standard DIN EN 45545-2 for rail vehicles. Whether the categories achieved are suitable for the respective requirements or vehicle classes must be checked by the customer on a case-by-case basis.
The guideline values provided were determined on test panels and correspond to our current state of knowledge. However, they do not exempt the end user from conducting their own carful tests.
